Yesterday Pastor O reaffirmed the challenge to Family Church to read the Proverb chapter of the day. For over 30 years he has asked us to read the chapter from this book of the Bible that corresponds with the calendar day of the month. It is truly amazing how everytime I read these chapters something new jumps off the page to me!!
The truth of this book of the Bible is this...If we seek and find wisdom we will know the right course of action every single time!
Here is the commitment he has asked us to make for the next 26 weeks.
A SIX-MONTH COMMITMENT I WILL NEVER FORGET
#1 I will truly strive to read this day’s corresponding chapter from Proverbs.
#2 I will release my faith to accept, as fact, everything I read in the 31 chapters.
#3 I will not do this as just another item on my daily check list.
#4 I will consciously and purposefully endeavor to apply what I learn.
#5 I will allow the Holy Spirit to convict me of any and all areas of my life where I’m being foolish.
#6 I will trust God to escalate the process of transforming my mind, heart and soul.
#7 I will walk in deep anticipation of seeing God be God in my life.
My prayer for my family is that as we gather around the table each day to read His Word these things will be true!!
As for me and my house....
