Christmas Fun Ski Trip '08

   

Almost every other year for Christmas we try to do an event or go on a trip rather than buy alot of presents for the children.  Well this was that year.  We went with some friends to Red River, New Mexico to ski!  What a great time!!

When you have children our age and ability level you understand that this is an investment for the present and for the future!!  We went skiing 4 days.  By the 3rd day things were really good and by the 4th things were great!!!  

We made some great memories, took great some great pictures and had alot of fun!!

31/DOL Recap!!

Well I was incredibly faithful writing about my "31 Days of Love" Journey.  I flew to Chicago to go visit some Srcooge performances and my first night there my brand new laptop and every other electronic device I have purchaed through the years was stolen out of my car.  Welcome to Chicago!!!!  That is a long story in itself.  But it was a punch in the gut.  Ouch!!

From that day on during my trip I was unable to blog my journey.  I just stopped the subject.  Maybe I learned to love those who steal from me??  I sat down with Cheryl the other night and we discussed pieces of this journey.  Well, I am back on the trail; and have some new and exciting ideas about what I will be writing about this year.

My friend Doug Combs. Great Man, Great Friend!!

 

   

Doug is a friend of mine from our very first church.  We worked together @ the Central Parkway Church Of God!!  We had some great times together there.  Doug has been a great friend to me over these many years.  Doug and Karen started his church in Harrison Ohio in 1996.  God has truly blessed them!!  The church is called Church on Fire Ministries.  www.cfmharrison.org

He is a man of God and a very good man.  He is awesome.  The pictures are of his adult daughter Nicki the other morning and her prize.  The other is of his grandchildren.
